As Manager of Yerba Buena Gardens, Tarik Boukhari has overall responsibility for property management, maintenance operations, and security services. In this leadership role, he ensures compliance with San Francisco’s requirements and ordinances, supervises facilities staff and subcontractors, and performs day-to-day financial management, including developing and monitoring yearly operations and capital budgets.
His responsibilities also include ensuring that the park grounds are maintained to exceptional standards while providing excellent customer service as a liaison between city agencies and this thriving community of businesses, property owners, and local residents.
Tarik joined MJMMG in 2019. Prior to that, he served as Director of Property Management + Leasing for Sunhill Corporation where he was responsible for property management of 4 million square feet of space including, leasing, renewals, tenant retention, referral programs, capital improvements, asset management, construction, TIs, redevelopment, vendor relations, budgeting + forecasting, financial reporting, special events, and marketing strategies.
While there, he implemented and oversaw tenant lease plans, tenant renewal plans, specialty leasing, licensing filming permits, forecasting, financial reporting, expense controls, CapEx projects, and departmental procedures + policies.
Tarik has also served as Director of Operations at Hotel Clarion Moraine in Chicago, IL. His responsibilities included property management, day-to-day operations management, sales, marketing, and negotiations. He also developed and implemented training programs, coordinated staffing needs with supervisors and was responsible for cost accounting, budget management, and analysis.
