Parks Property Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager committed to Urban Placemaking, to perform Public Space property management and civic engagement in San Francisco. In addition to managing the property, this individual will be responsible for developing a Placemaking plan to ensure that this property thrives as both an open space and as a convening site for the community.

The Mission Bay Park System of San Francisco, a former rail yard, industrial site and shipyard, is a 303-acre multi-use project under development along San Francisco’s western waterfront. Today, it is home to the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) research campus, biotech and other major companies, neighborhood serving retail, residential housing (market rate, condominiums, affordable and senior housing) and parkland. AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, sits nearby to Mission Creek, which is lined with houseboats.

The Parkland includes landscaped gardens and open space that incorporate walkways, bicycle paths, formal seating areas, basketball, tennis and volleyball courts, a public kayak pier, and gated dog play area. Some of these places coexist along shoreline and wetland areas. Mission Bay is the City’s newest neighborhood and business center that continues to evolve today.

Overview

As the Mission Bay Property Manager you will use your experience in Public Realm Management, Placemaking, Public Administration and Planning. You must have organization skills and energy to successfully manage a park system that is growing rapidly, and is at the center of a burgeoning neighborhood with an actively involved community.

You will have overall responsibility for management of the property and for maintenance operations including events permitting and oversight as an agent for the property/venue, landscape, janitorial, and general maintenance, and security services. With your expertise you will ensure compliance with the City contract, manage facilities staff and subcontractors, as well as perform day-to-day financial management, and develop and monitor yearly operations and capital budgets.

Your inspections will ensure that the park grounds are maintained to the company’s standards and you will also get to demonstrate your excellent customer service skills as you liaise between city agencies and this thriving community of business and property owners, and local residents. You will see the results of your work as you and your staff program ongoing events in the park that attract the public to this beautiful property.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Operation, the Park and Tenant Coordinator acts as the first point of contact to park tenants, vendors and contractors. The primary purpose of this position is to support Director of Operations in the management of administrative functions required for park management in accordance with company and industry best practices and is involved in all aspects of the day to day operations of the park.

Under the direction of the Community Services Manager, the Dispatcher | Administrative Assistant will field all calls, e-mails, texts, web-based communications and two-way radios transmissions from community stakeholders and field staff. Community Guide | Ambassador

Job Description

Overview

Our Community Guides / Ambassador walk the Districts offering assistance to the visitors in the area attending shows and exhibits and visiting public spaces. Your friendly presence will provide hospitality, comfort and security in the area. You will escort patrons from different venues, to and from parking lots and public transportation. You will also get to preview shows and exhibits to interact with patrons while escorting them to their parking or transit destinations.

This position requires enthusiasm, evident in an outgoing customer service personality; professionalism expressed in the way the Community Guide approaches the public; reliability demonstrated in work attendance, caring and concern, by dealing with sensitive situations encountered on the streets, and stamina due to working outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Community Guide also ensures safekeeping and enjoyment of visitors and that they are treated with utmost courtesy within the district.

Janitor

Job Description

Janitors are in communication with a central dispatcher and other employees at all times via two-way radio communication.
